About the Role

We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Business Development Director to lead growth initiatives within the healthcare recruitment sector. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on expanding our client base, deepening relationships with healthcare providers, and positioning our brand as a trusted partner in healthcare recruitment and staffing.

This is a key role in shaping our market presence, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth across UK public and private healthcare organisations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition & Expansion Identify and secure new business opportunities with hospitals, clinics, care homes, and other healthcare providers.

  • Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including HR directors, procurement leads, and clinical managers and regular attend meetings,,

  • Strategic Planning Develop and implement business development strategies to meet growth targets and expand market share.

  • Market Intelligence Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and workforce challenges to inform strategy and product offerings.

  • Team Collaboration Collaborate with recruitment consultants, marketing, and compliance teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.

  • Performance Monitoring Set KPIs, track progress, and report regularly to senior leadership on business development outcomes.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, preferably in healthcare recruitment or staffing.

  • Strong understanding of NHS frameworks, private healthcare systems, and clinical staffing needs or willingness to learn. 

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
